like the change in design a lot! Also appreciate the obvious activity on the project even more!
This outfit's email address appears to be broken (it bounced), and signing up for the mailing list just gave me a server error. I wouldn't care, but have spent all evening trying to install this stuff only to end up with a compilation error.Pulling my hair out in PA.org dot bumblebeagle at bobhopefully you can figure out that you need to reverse that
Sorry about the email error! Should all be fixed now.
Well, the email still bounces, as of yesterday! The gory details are below, ... no email user found.Your reply form does not seem to like email addresses, but the mail account was ggobi-help andso I had to edit the error message, adding spaces. And, ... the difficulty seemed to be related to other out-of-date documentation for Macintosh/*nix.My problem was simply that the documented downloads for Macintosh 10.3 were not there, and when I guessed some existing downloads,I ended up with a long make with a missing object, RGtk. Or misplace RGtk.h?No clue.c h a t f i e l d () clio . arc . nasa . govThe make problem was .../Library/Frameworks/R.framework/R(l10nflist.lo) definition of __nl_normalize_codeset/sw/lib/libintl.dylib(l10nflist.lo) definition of __nl_normalize_codeset** R** inst** save imageLoading required package: RGtkError: package 'RGtk' could not be loadedIn addition: Warning message:there is no package called 'RGtk' in: library(pkg, character.only = TRUE, logical = TRUE, lib.loc = lib.loc) Execution halted/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/bin/INSTALL: line 1: 5836 Broken pipe cat "/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.1.1/Resources/library/Rggobi/R/Rggobi"ERROR: execution of package source for 'Rggobi' failed** Removing '/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.1.1/Resources/library/Rggobi'** Restoring previous '/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.1.1/Resources/library/Rggobi'make: *** [Rggobi] Error 1/tmp/ggobi % locate RGtk/tmp/ggobi % whereis RGtk/tmp/ggobi % findfile RGtk*-rw-r--r-- 1 chatfiel 501 937 Jun 6 07:28 ./Rggobi/src/RGtk.h*******************************************************The original message was received at Tue, 1 Nov 2005 15:42:18 -0800from vayu.arc.nasa.gov [188.8.131.52] ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- ggobi - help @ ggobi org > (reason: 550 < ggobi-help @ ggobi . org >: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual alias table) ----- Transcript of session follows -----... while talking to mail.ggobi.org.:DATA<<< 550 < ggobi-help @ ggobi . org >: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual alias table550 5.1.1 < ggobi-help @ ggobi . org >... I like the new movies - it is easy to simply mail this page's address to those interested in using it.I would like to see more comprehensive tutorials that exercised many of the features together.ThanksRon
Bob: oops, yes, that email address was broken! Is fixed now. Unfortunately we don't have a mac running 10.3 to test the install process, but I think you need to install RGtk first (http://www.omegahat.org/RGtk/). If that doesn't work send an email to email@example.com and someone should be able to help you.Ron: are there any features in particular you would like to see? We're currently working on getting a short demo for all the basics, and then we'll try to put together case studies that explore a data set using multiple techniques.
Thanks for the changes, the pages now look nice. I have sometimes problems with identification of the current ggobi version - could the install file(s) include the version number? I am personally using compiled Win installer, the file named in the style "ggobi_0104.exe" would be helpful. BTW, the date of release is probably obsolete (I suspect that the current version has been released later than Jul 26, 2004).Best! Zdenek Skala
when I try to download either the Linux or Mac "installation manual", I get the error below. In fact, I can't find any way to download the source.Oops...Trac detected an internal error:Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/trac/web/standalone.py", line 303, in _do_trac_req dispatch_request(path_info, req, env) File "/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/trac/web/main.py", line 135, in dispatch_request db = env.get_db_cnx() File "/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/trac/env.py", line 137, in get_db_cnx return self.__cnx_pool.get_cnx() File "/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/trac/db.py", line 157, in get_cnx cnx = self._cnx_class(**self._args) File "/usr/local/lib/python2.4/site-packages/trac/db.py", line 280, in __init__ timeout=timeout)MemoryError
